How we charge

Transparency is a pillar of our work and is essential for building trust with our clients. For this reason, we’re upfront about our fees and you’ll find a clear breakdown here on our website. No surprises, just straightforward information to help you make informed decisions from the start.

Trust is the foundation of any strong relationship, and we’re committed to earning yours from day one.

We understand not all clients need or want the same type or intensity of service, therefore, we offer three levels for our ongoing services. These are designed to ensure our services and recommendations are relevant to your circumstances.

Financial
planning

Our core service suits most clients both before and during retirement. It also serves those building wealth, peak earners, business owners and entrepreneurs, trustees and attorneys handling other’s financial affairs, and some charities.

Wealth
management

This service suits clients needing more frequent formal reviews or complex investment tailoring / bespoke investment solutions. This service can include larger trusts, those with complex Inheritance Tax needs and larger charities.

Financial
advice

This service suits clients whose needs are simple (few accounts) and whose investable assets do not meet the minimum thresholds for our full financial planning services. This includes those building up wealth and later-stage retirees.

Initial charges

Our initial charge relates to any new work we do for you and will usually include:

  • Conducting thorough research
  • Preparing recommendations to meet your needs
  • Building your plan

Our initial charge for all types of clients is 0.75% of funds invested. This is subject to a minimum fee of £1,500 and a maximum fee of £5,000.

Examples of how our charges could apply:

If you invested £150,000, our fee would be our minimum fee of £1,500
If you invested £500,000, our fee would be 0.75% of £500,000 = £3,750
If you invested £1 million, our fee would be subject to our maximum fee of £5,000

Ongoing fees

While you mark milestones and celebrate your wins, we’ll continue to keep momentum with our ongoing service. This is an annual fee, charged pro rata every month. What you receive depends on your service level, but it covers ongoing communication and work with you, keeping up to date with regulatory, tax, and macroeconomic factors, and considers any investment market changes.

Research by Which.co.uk highlighted Financial Conduct Authority data that advisers charge an average of 2.4% of the amount invested for initial advice. They also charge an average 0.8% per year for ongoing advice, with total ongoing advice costs averaging 1.9% per year when underlying product and portfolio charges are factored in.
